Arul has been in the practice since its inception in 1992. He offers a full range of general practice care to his patients. He has developed a specialist interest in diabetic conditions, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, care of the elderly, mental health, drug and alcohol addiction and chronic illness.
Dr Pushpa Selvapatt (Female) MBBS (Sri Lanka) MRCGP
Pushpa has been with the practice since 2003 and has been a practising GP for many years. As well as providing a full general practice service, she has a special interest in women's health and supports the antenatal and children's clinics based at the practice.
Dr Kirrija Prabaharan (Female) MD (USSR) MRCGP DFSRH
Kirrija joined the practice in October 2006. She holds a diploma in sexual and reproductive healthcare, and is fully competent in long acting reversible contraception techniques. She is also fluent in Russian, Tamil and Sinhalese.
Dr Tabassum Khandker (Female) MBBS (UK 2009) MRCGP DFSRH MA DCH
Tabassum joined the practice in December 2014. She holds a diploma in sexual health, specialises in implant and coil insertion and has a keen interest in Commissioning locally. She is also fluent in Bengali, Hindi (some Urdu).
Dr Vasugi Vijayaratna (Female) BM (UK 2010) MRCGP DFSRH
Vasugi joined the practice in June 2015 and also carries a special interest in sexual health. She works on Mondays and Tuesdays only.
Dr Smitha Thurairatnam (Female)MUDr MRCGP
Dr Smitha joined the practice in 2017. She works every day and is actively involved with the running of the practice. She holds a particular interest in the management and care of the elderly and frail, as well as with children.

The practice nurses are available by appointment. Their numerous tasks include:
• Taking blood for testing
• Infant and adult immunisations
• Cervical smears
• Travel vaccinations
• Dressings and removal of stitches
• Ear syringing
• Blood pressure, asthma, diabetes, COPD etc check-ups
• Sexual Health Advice
They also assist the doctors in minor surgery and are always available to offer professional advice. Appointments may be made by telephoning the surgery.

The staff behind the reception desk will assist you in making routine and emergency appointments to see a clinician, undertake repeat prescriptions for housebound patients, answer numerous and varied questions and offer help and assistance at all times. It is a legal requirement that confidentiality of patients’ records is maintained at the highest level by all staff.
