Our practice is proud to support the NHS Cervical Screening (smear test) Programme. If you’ve been invited for cervical screening, we hope you’ll choose to have it.
Cervical screening saves lives because it allows us to find changes in the cervix before they develop into something more serious and before you may have symptoms. It tests for Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), which is the most common cause of cervical cancer. The test is free, takes around five minutes and is available to anyone aged 25 to 64 with a cervix.
If you have questions about cervical screening or need information about cervical screening in another language, the links below should help you:

“I feel better each time I see Rowena the practice nurse and discuss my health issues with her. My smear test was due last year, and I didn’t want to do it, but ever since I met her in her clinic, she was able to give me the courage to have the smear test done. Her listening, communication and caring nature played a significant role. I hope I will still see her working at Tudor surgery when my next smear test is due. You’re the best nurse who has ever taken care of me. Remain blessed!”
