Non-urgent advice: Out of Hours

If you feel unwell at the weekend, or when our practice closes in the evening, local GPs and nurses are still here to help you.

To get advice quickly and save unnecessary travel, the best thing to do is call 111. Your call will go through to our local NHS out-of-hours service, where you can talk to a nurse or GP. You do not have to be registered with a GP to use this service but you must be a Wandsworth resident.

It’s the easiest way to get advice, treatment and a prescription if you need one, without leaving home.

NHS WALK-IN CENTRE AT ST GEORGE’S HOSPITAL

You can also see an experienced nurse for treatment of minor injuries and illnesses, seven days a week at the NHS Walk-in Centre. It’s open 7.00am – 10.00pm. You do not need an appointment but you may need to wait to be seen.

ENHANCED PRIMARY CARE HUB AT QUEEN MARY’S HOSPITAL

• Urgent and routine GP appointments are available for Wandsworth residents at Queen Mary’s Hospital.

• This service is available by appointment only and you may be offered an appointment here by your practice or 111.

• Open every day 8.00am – 8.00pm.

• Staffed by highly trained emergency nurse practitioners, GPs and nurses who can deal with a range of minor illnesses and injuries.

ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY – Dial 999

Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go straight to your nearest Accident and emergency department or call 999 for an ambulance.

Accident and emergency departments are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can assess serious injuries and provide emergency treatment.
